NEW PAINTINGS / FRAMING

Had some very small pieces of luan board left over after a framing project. Decided to do a series of very small paintings:

These are REALLY small, 3 x 6 inches approximately. Framed up with thick 2 1/2" dark mocha stock:

For the August Open Juried Exhibition at the COAL Gallery, I decided that the gold frames weren't the best presentation for my planned entries. I took the paintings out, spray painted the frames with semi-gloss black and then added some subtle detailing with gold metallic paint:

Leaning towards this treatment for most of the previously gold framed paintings.
