DS5 - GDS MODELING 801: WEEK 5
Orthographic Views
Here are the orthographic views of the male and female base models against the reference:

Looking at these again, I think you might have been right about the arm thickness. I did some more work to shave them back before heading to zbrush. I also felt like there needed to be a few more edge loops around the eyes and mouth on both these models, so I added them:

In terms of meeting the week's goals, it's been almost a total wash. Between work, getting my taxes done and daylight savings time, the week just ran away with not nearly enough accomplished. The changes I made to my base mesh were significant enough that re-projecting the detail from my old model just wasn't happening. Rather than spend a ton of time trying to get the two back in alignment, I decided to re-do the detailing with the goal of having a detailed mesh that has more of a classical sculpture stylization.
And that's where we are, in the midst of re-detailing the zbrush model:

I did spend some time practicing the zsphere rigging process, enough to feel pretty confident about moving forward with it once my model has the next level of detail.
I also spent some time looking at (or rather, was distracted by,) the new zbrush 2019. The NPR rendering doesn't do much for me, but folders, intersection alpha and the snapshot3D tools are pretty exciting!
INSTRUCTOR FEEDBACK
Proportions much improved for the female.
Make is looking good, especially abs. Look at deltoid and how it tucks into and around the biceps. Eyes / eyelids on male still feel a little off, maybe a bit high in sockets? Find a good reference for comparison.
Look at Scott Eaton's digital sculpting videos for demos on the zsphere rigging process.
