DS5 - GDS MODELING 801: WEEK 11
Tough week this was... 12 hour days at work and tons of other life static to deal with.
Started off with some final additions and tweaks to the hard surface work in preparation for merging in with the figures. Decided to add some detail to the upper cup, scale up the "feet" and tweak some other issues I found. Model looking solid now:

Brought this into keyshot for some test renders:

I also wasn't happy with the cloth result on Hercules; the back looked too much like a big diaper wrapped around his butt. I reworked this quite a bit and remeshed a few times to clean up the look, minimize the built-up fabric and show some more butt cheeks:

Pulling in the final goblet geometry was a time sink -- kept finding all kinds of issues that required re-export/import. Subdividing in zbrush didn't work as well as doing a mesh smooth in maya and pulling in a more dense final model. Took several iterations to get things in and moved into place:

Even at this point new issues have arisen -- the reference geo I was working against seems to have yielded a good match to the figures somehow. More not-so-minor adjustments will be needed to both figures to get the relationship between elements tight and solid.

I also feel like some additional elements will need to be added along the central axis of the model to help hold the weight and fill out the sculpture.
Will be focusing on detailing, hair and these 'axis' elements this week to hopefully bring this model close to a finish.
INSTRUCTOR FEEDBACK
Biggest issue is the balance of the figures under the bowl - they don't seem centered from some views. Shift Atlas to the right. Separating the figures ok. Re-sculpting of anatomy is the brunt of the work remaining. Recommend sculpting hair from one primitive using clay buildup brush.
Hard surface looking great, call it done.
HIGHLY recommend contacting Keagle to negotiate a down-sizing of project scope. Cannot be done in final semester. Do it now.
