DS5 - GDS MODELING 801: WEEK 14

Focused this week on detailing / polishing the Hercules body anatomy. As was noted in the comments from last week, the legs, feet, hands and arms had some anatomical issues and needed some attention. Some shots from last week that illuminate the issues:

The toes were all pushed together and the hand was somewhat deformed from the transpose process. The thumb just looks broken!

This week I detailed out Hercules's feet and legs as well as his buttocks. I also hit his right arm and hand, tweaking the hand pose / connection to Atlas:

I also did manage to revert / repair my cloth meshes to a point that I could subdivide without a zbrush crash.

Next week: Bring detailing on Atlas up to Hercules level and hopefully call this first piece done with a quick turntable render to wrap the semester!

INSTRUCTOR FEEDBACK

Some very nice improvements to the legs, feet, hands and arms, great to see the progress since the prior posting and good to see the work from Module 13. Looks substantially better.

Good work with the proportions and anatomy. The details on the pedestal looks great. Also pleased to know you resolved the issues with the subdividing the cloth meshes

Very much look forward to seeing your final submission for the class. This looks fantastic and great sculpting and details on these images showing details and polishing work.
