DS5 - GDS MODELING 801: WEEK 13

Ah, the tedium of detailing...

Started the arduous task of cleaning up and re-sculpting the posed geometry this week. What a time sink and a struggle! Hercules was the focus this week, but he is still incomplete. I did manage to get his left arm, hand and perhaps his shoulder area re-sculpted. I re-posed the hand and tightened up the finger rotations relative to the bowl surface.

It's pretty obvious though that without exact photographic reference though, it was an obvious revelation that my anatomical knowledge is sketchy at best.

The re-sculpt on the right arm is still not quite right -- I shifted the rotation and anatomy on most of the arm and hand; it's better relative to Atlas, but not finished yet.

Also did a lot of work on the legs and right foot. Both still need more though.

The clothing pieces are a concern -- hitting the 'Divide' button in zbrush will crash the program. The poly count is not that high but clearly there is something inherently wrong with the geometry I will need to figure out in order to move forward.

FEEDBACK FROM STEWART LEW, FILLING IN FOR TAREQ MIRZA:

Good to see your latest work, some nice details added to your latest sculpts.

Aware that there is still work to be done. Clothing are on the light side and aware that you are experiencing crashing as you hit 'Divide'. Legs need more details in terms definition of anatomy. The first image shows good details with hand and fingers, thumb looks a bit large relative to the rest of the proportions.

Details onto face look good. Your hair sculpts are done well. Posing also looks well executed. More details to the legs would also be help balance out their sculpts.
