Progress on wrapping up base meshes
This week I finished up the male base mesh and got a great start on the female one. I decided that the male should have more 'complete' anatomy, so he's now got more than the Ken doll finish level in that area. The female base model still needs some work, but it has already inherited a lot of the recent improvements from the research done on the male. Models now also have a full set of teeth for those more dramatic expressions.

I also started doing some research into sculpted hair. I definitely want the figures to have hair, but it can't be Xgen or Fibermesh. Sculpted hair is its own specialty and challenge, and I collected some reference of stylized hair to study and emulate in the coming weeks.

My long sentence of prolonged overtime, weekends and late nights at the office should be over by EOD tomorrow if all goes as plans. Moving forward the plan is to finish detailing out both base meshes and move into posing up one of my thesis pieces. I also need to do some research into sculpted cloth as well.
INSTRUCTOR FEEDBACK
Looks great! Add a few more loops to the arms and legs. You'll need them in those regions for good deformations. Spread out the lines on the butt a bit.

Add a few more loops to the arms and legs. And one at least to the neck. While a lot of people still create breasts coming to a point at the center, the problem with that is that you tend to have a lot of geometry and it can easily get bumpy. My solution was to create a simple geometry that just created the basic shape of the breasts and then I could sculpt the rest in high res. As drawn on image. Up to you though.

Basic teeth look good. Just work on the gums more in high res. Although the teeth tend to get wider and bigger as they go back.
