We've been trying to get my fused glass jewelry line launched for a while. Work has progressed on several fronts, if slowly: branding, packaging and venues. For the past several weeks we've been "on the Green" in front of the Carlsbad Inn right off of Coast Hwy. The demands of having a table and selling merchandise has been a good 'push' to get the overall product more polished. Shots of our first prototype table:
The branding is "ALARI" with "FINE ART GLASS" underneath. The website proper (www.alariglass.com) hasn't been set up yet, but will hopefully be online soon. I went to Michaels and bought a ton of different card stock colors (on sale at the time) and a small punch to cut out the leaf shape for these cards. The cut out shapes are then sprinkled into the boxes with the earrings. For the Christmas line I have a snowflake punch and different card shapes -- it's an economical solution for now but also somewhat labor-intensive.

It's going to take more work on promotions and marketing to get traffic moving through, but having this first online presence is a huge milestone for us.
