The greenhouse had gotten a bit overgrown, dirty and tired. After cutting down the papaya trees growing down the middle (and through the roof), Johnny hauled all the remaining plants and plastic shelving out. Time for a new look:
Removed all the old irrigation line and concrete stepping stones, evened out the floor and got a load of sand to cover the gravel. Created 4 new planter areas long the main support ribs and put in some grape vines to hopefully grow up and across:
On to bricking out the entire floor:
Added some blue glass beads into the gaps in the back section.
Floor finished. The brick collection was a mixed bad of sizes and shapes, so the floor patter was a bit hard to hold. Lots of edge cuts!
Flooring project finished. Now on to finding the right outdoor furniture to decorate the back section with. Johnny had an idea to replace the view-side windows with glass or possibly even stained glass. He's also intent on building new replacement doors and a small portico for the entry. We'll need to build some raised planting beds at some point too...
